Vital respiratory therapies for children with disabilities

This project will fund 180 sessions of respiratory therapies for children with cerebral palsy and neuromuscular disorders who present ventilatory disorders that evolve with age, threatening their lives. These children require daily respiratory management (manual and instrumental) 24/7.

This project will impact the beneficiaries as follows:

  • Improve thoracic mobility by increasing inspiratory volumes
  • Help lung growth and minimise pain due to manual techniques
  • Improve the ventilation of beneficiaries (O2-CO2 gas exchange)
  • Provide urgent care, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Prevent complications and avoid regular hospitalisations

Funds needed: $48,000
